thepinkseaweed asked: If you had the choice to have spicy food your entire life or non-spicy food your entire life, which would you pick?
While I do love spicy food, if given the choice of one or the other for the rest of my life, I’d say non-spicy food. Eating too much spicy food can damage your tastebuds so if my tastebuds are gone, what would I have left? A sad life, my friend. A sad life.
Anonymous asked: What are your thoughts on casseroles? Favorite kinds? Are you for or against making a bunch and freezing then unfreezing them later on (busy families or schedules)? Any recommendations for casseroles that are best eaten as soon as possible and which ones are best for freezing and reheating?
Ooooohweeee, what a question! I actually didn’t grow up eating casseroles, like at all. So now that I’m older I just don’t really make any. What are YOU’RE favorite casseroles?!
Anonymous asked: I'm told that natural light is practically a law in food photography. But what if you get stuck in an artificial light or low-light situation (aka dinner)? Do you ever take photos this way, and how can you rescue images that just won't look natural? Help!
Who ever told you that is super smart. It is pretty much the law when it comes to photographing food. I live by that rule. I never photograph anything in low or artificial light. It just isn’t my style. Have you seen those Martha Stewart photos that people keep talking about? The ones she posted on her twitter? Well that’s what you get when you try to photograph your dinner in an unlit place. I don’t have much experience with images like that so I can’t offer any help. I’m sorry!
the-universe-constantly-obedient asked: What are you favorite foods to : 1. Cook 2. Photograph 3. Eat
Such a great question, thank you! I’d have to say, favorite thing to cook is pot roast because there are a lot of steps and the end result is just killer. Favorite thing to photograph are cookies because they’re super simple and won’t melt or cause you frustration. Favorite thing to eat would probably be tacos because they’re easy to make and the possibilities are endless!!
theonlyparadox asked: Favorite fruits? Favorite fruit desserts or dishes?
I actually don’t like cooked fruit so I tend to avoid desserts with fruit in them. I’ll make an exception here and there though for like apple pie or something, mostly because of the delicious crust. My all time favorite fruit though, is watermelon!
Anonymous asked: Do you favor any particular Ethnic group of food over others? Like Chinese over Italian, etc etc. Or is it just like you have a few favorites from each Ethnicity?
I mean I pretty much love all food. I can’t think of one ethnic group I don’t like. But I will say that my all time favorite, can’t say no to, give me some right this instant, eat it five days in a row, is Indian food. Pumpkin chutney with potato samosas hhmmmmmm….kill me now.
